Welcome to Your New Planet!

If you’re stepping into this universe for the first time, here’s everything you need to know to start your adventure in Season 3, kicking off on March 10th at 6 PM UTC. With a huge prize pool of $2,500 USD, $1.5 million in $AFG, and plenty of NFTs up for grabs, it’s an open field for everyone, newbies and old hands alike!

A core feature of Season 3 is the ‘social to earn’ concept, server events, Zealy activities, and daily minigames for a chance to win NFTs, game resources, and $AFG, bridging the gap between investors and grinders.

The tournament offers free entry, with special categories and a non-linear reward system, Season 3 aims to be engaging and rewarding. Veterans and newcomers alike start from scratch, ensuring a fair and thrilling competition for all.

Let’s Get /Start-ed:

Your journey starts with a /start command in the #play-here channel. Link your WAX wallet and Discord to unlock the universe.

Choosing Your Resources

After linking your Discord and wallet on Aphelium’s website, you’ll start with no skills or resources but an entire planet to discover. The first choice will be to pick two resources — one favorite and one hated, shaping your friendship with astronauts who visit your land.

Time to /Work:

You can boost your earning with using tools.

As you start in Aphelium, with no additional NFTs, you will have 24 energy points. Begin by using the /work command. It’s your first step to earn AP and a small cut of resources at the cost of 3 energy points.

Here’s a pro tip: Instead of working long hours at once, try working in shorter bursts. This approach gives you more GXP, which you need to level up and unlock abilities. Plus, you’ll meet more NPCs, adding encounters to your journey.

/Wander-ing for Willpower

Wandering to improve your will stats.

Keep an eye on your willpower, shown in your /profile. Each action you perform consumes a bit of willpower, similar to the concept of ‘sanity’ in other games. Keeping this level above 50 is essential for avoiding debuffs and ensuring efficiency in all tasks. To help manage your willpower, the /wander command is invaluable. At the cost of only 1 energy point, /wander refreshes your astronaut’s spirit, adding 6–10 willpower points.

Rep Debuff and Will debuff shown.

As you progress, you can unlock skills that reduce willpower depletion, allowing you to extend your activities and adventures. Engaging in tasks on a friend’s land offers unique benefits based on your friendship level and skills — sometimes even boosting your willpower instead of depleting it.Ensuring your willpower is above 50 before using the /sleep command is vital. Willpower higher than 70 means you can even dream while you’re sleeping on a bed!

NPCs and Reputation

Don’t have the resources? Still you can say “sorry” for not helping.

Reputation is another critical aspect. If your reputation dips below zero, you’ll face debuffs slowing down your progress, reducing the efficiency of your actions, and diminishing the rewards from your daily tasks. On the flip side, a reputation above 30, will give you some buffs!

Neglecting to interact with NPCs, or “ghosting,” leads to a significant drop in reputation. This behavior signals to the game that you might not be actively participating, akin to bot-like behavior.

Click “skip” even if you don’t have enough resources!

Sleeping on another player’s land without a bed staked is seen as trespassing, incurring a minor reputation penalty. Fortunately, sticker blends that can be blended for free are available to repair your reputation, or you can increase it through positive NPC interactions.

Gathering /Daily Rewards

This action provides you free resources, which you can either sell in the game market, use for crafting items, or minting NFTs, provided you’ve unlocked the necessary skills and own a land. The rewards from /daily grow progressively larger as you maintain your streak, offering increased benefits over time.

Essential Rest with /sleep

/sleep-ing on your own land with a bed staked!

Rest is crucial. Sleep on your own land for 3 energy points per hour, but if you’ve got a bed, that goes up to 4. Willpower higher than 70 can even trigger dreams, offering resources and GXP., and other beneficial outcomes, though there’s a slim chance of experiencing a nightmare that might decrease willpower.

/sleep-ing on your own land with no beds

Planning to sleep on your own land? Make sure to use /bases to travel there. But watch out, traveling without teleporters, moving to your land consumes 1 energy point, so plan your energy usage accordingly.

If you sleep on another landowner’s land equipped with beds, You’re still in for those 4 points, but it’ll cost you some AP. Hospitality isn’t free in space!

/sleep-ing on a random land

If you decide to “camp out” on another player’s land without a bed, that’s space trespassing. You’re getting only 2 energy points per hour, and it’ll ding your willpower and reputation slightly.

Before You Level Up

Keep up with /daily, /work, /wander, and /sleep. This routine will help you level up and unlock new parts of the game.

When you level up, you’ll get to pick a new skill to enhance your adventure and change your routine. You’ll receive a notification in the #level-up channel and select your skill via the website. Regardless of owning NFTs, these skills significantly enrich your gaming experience.
