Greetings Aphelians! Aphelium is reaching its v0.18.0 version on 6th February, coming with a refactor of the sleep mechanic and a brand new activity that will make your /sleep sessions more interesting!
Camping
A new NFT has been introduced to the game: the bed! This tool can be staked on your lands with a dual purpose:
- To provide better sleep for the owner.
- To offer it to other players for AP.
When staking beds on lands via the website, landowners must specify whether the land is for their personal use or open for renting to others. It’s important to note that one bed can only be used by one player at a time.
The energy gained from sleeping has been adjusted to the following values:

When you attempt to sleep in a bed staked on land not owned by you, and the landowner has permitted its use by visitors, you will be prompted to pay a certain amount of AP in advance to use it. This payment is required as soon as you confirm your action. Please note, if you wake up before the established time, you will not receive a refund.
Dreaming
A new mechanic has been added, which will add some fun to the sleep sessions!
While sleeping in a bed — either your own or someone else’s — and you’re sleeping since more than 4 hours and your WILL is above 70, you will get a ping in the ping channel, alerting you that you’re entering the REM phase.
You now have 10 minutes to click the button and try your luck. There are different types of dreams:
- Nightmare: Lose 5–35 will points. Represents the character having a bad dream, affecting their mental state.
- Friendly Dream: Gain 5 friendship points. Reflects positive thoughts about fellow astronauts.
- Resource Discovery: Find 30–50 random resources. The character recalls leaving resources somewhere in their dream.
- Tool Repair by Alien: An event where an alien appears in the dream and repairs a tool in the character’s bag.
- Debuff Reset: All current debuffs get reset.
- Neutral Dream: No significant impact occurs.
- Nightmare About a Friend: Friendship points decrease by 5, indicating a troubling dream involving a friend.
- Enlightenment: Earn 10–80 GXP, symbolizing a dream that brings new insights or knowledge.
- AP Discovery: Find 20–80 AP. The character recalls leaving money somewhere in their dream

The game is based upon the development of sections of land on an unexplored planet somewhere in the universe. Within these sections players will find plenty of resources used to produce food, metals, items and buildings. All of which you can use to improve your very own land NFT!
